Workshops and Retreats
Each year a variety
of workshops and retreats on different themes are
offered. These events are held in the spirit and philosophy of holistic
psychology. Workshops and retreats allow participants to learn and grow
with each other. It can be a time and space away from the day-to-day
world to open to new ways of living. Retreat space also provides
participants with a time and space for rest and renewal.
Workshop and retreats support and augment the
introspective experience of individual, one-on-one, therapeutic work.
They allow participants a place to practice relational skills, in a
safe
setting. Workshops and retreats provide a brief practical experience of
living in relationship and in community, experiences that are so
important in the evolution of healing.

Saved by a Poem! Upcoming Events in Ottawa with Kim Rosen
Poetry, our most ancient form of prayer, is a healing medicine, especially
needed in these times of global and personal challenge. Kim Rosen has
touched listeners far and wide with poetry’s power to awaken, inspire,
and heal. In the workshop following the concert, the voice of each
participant is invited to emerge through an alchemy of music and spoken
poems, as well as spontaneous writing, silence, movement.
Kim Rosen’s work is infinitely more important than it
might appear. I have no doubt that our highly distressed society could be saved by poetry. Kim tells
us here how a poem wakens and nourishes the soul and
gives us the insight and sensitivity we need to live as
creative individuals and as a peaceful society.
--Thomas Moore, author of Care of the Soul.
Kim Rosen, MFA, is a spiritual teacher, spoken-word artist, and poet. She is the author of Saved by a Poem: The Transformative Power of Words (Hay House, October, 2009)
